just for the record: AFFLYCTION WARLOCKS ARE THE BEST!!!!!!
I can't wait for wotlk and see if we get haunt or cripple as the new talent so that i can keep watching people slooooowly die MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA
by the way i saw your characters and i think this would be a useful advice: once you're lvl 60 you should try to get your pvp set, i got only 3 parts several lvls ago (chest, shoulders and pants) and it almost triplicated my HP thanks to the stamina, so just think about it is really worth it
drug this from another thread, so it wouldn't get too spaztastic off topic...
Please... don't mix PvP gear with PvE gear. They are different and should be used from where you get them... if you get PvP gear, use it for PvP, if you get PvE gear, use it for PvE.
While yes, there are some classes that their PvP gear is better than what they can get in PvE (like DPS warriors, hunters), most classes AREN'T like this...
Warlocks need spell hit... well affliction locks don't need too much compared to destruction, but still need some...
As for what's a better spec... I've been using 0/21/40 as my spec, and I love it... I can easily do craploads of damage ... comparatively to my shaman, which is sad because my warlock is undergeared compared to my shaman. 0/21/40 focuses more on massive shadowbolt damage..

I used to absolutely hate tanking on my warrior. But I kinda like it now, when i switch prot its not as much of a headache.
From what I hear, Prot Warrior may be viable in WOTLK PVP. Some guy in beta said that his damage output was much higher that TBC. Plus with the addition of Damage to Concussion blow (which was always stupid to me...how do i hit you in the head and just stun you O.o), Buffs to Shield Slam, a snare cleaning charge/intercept/intervene, and Shockwave, Prot Warriors looking like it might dangerous to run accross. Plus Sword and Board looks awesome.
They also said their buffing the damage output of all tank specs too.
I just wish they would do something about rogues. theres gotta be some way to nerf them PVP wise and not hurt PVE.
BTW...Lifebloom is getting nerfed in WOTLK. Bout time too...tired of Purging and healing them all the way to full for next to nothing.
They have, it's called the Cheat Death nerf. (Spoiler: Making talents rely on resilience is a dumb idea, even from a balancing standpoint.) That being said, we're adapting as a group anyway.
As a prot warrior, you're going to have trouble with them, mainly due to the fact that we're supposed to dish out HUGE amounts of damage in a relatively short amount of time, and really, our burst came from a source it honestly shouldn't have (Since daggers ((and Mutilate by default)) are generally our heavy burst and those have been nerfed since BC came out, it's not where it "should" come from) in the subtlety tree. That, and you've got TONS of armor to mitigate our damage (out of all of our skills, the only abilities NOT mitigated by armor are Garrote, Rupture, poisons, and Envenom ((which any rogue worth his salt won't use)). Prot warriors aren't' meant to beat rogues because they're not meant to deal serious damage. But if they buff them so Prot becomes a serious spec for warriors in PVP, I'm happy (Sick of MS warriors man -_- )
Unfortunately, as a rogue, I wonder why I even get a raid spot; as a rogue, I offer no utility to the group other than massive damage; not that there's anything wrong with massive damage, but every other dps class has some form of CC (ours is Sap, which is useless from Karazhan on, at least until Wrath), mages being the premier. In addition, they even have groupwide buffs (Even Feral druids, who in kitty form dps just like we do!) Area of Effect pulls, we're also effectively useless. Many boss fights are ranged fights (I'm mainly saying this due to the fact that my guild is wiping on Leo in SSC at less than 50 percent, and one of the healers was bitching that we shouldn't bring melee to the fight, ever)
Hence, I'm thinking any serious nerf to us would probably hurt us very much in PvE (especially since Hunters can now outdps rogues in higher-end content due to the bow...circumstantial yes, but as a class that has no buffs, no good CC, and no utility, that is a little stupid)
Now, this massive QQ is not calling for rogue buffs either. Frankly, I think rogues are fine....I know we're getting an AoE in the expansion, we're getting an enrage, and daggers are getting buffed. I'm pretty much a happy little clam in reaction to the Rogue changes....
...also, Survival is getting some cool shit too, so i'm levelling myself a survival hunter too D:

Well the thing is that i started being a demonologist warlock but the felguard kinda let me down, it was weaker than the sucubus and weaker than the void so it wasn't worth it... then i wnet with destro and it was wired because my direct damage was incredibly low (lower than with demonology, at lvl 61 i remeber i only hurt around 800) and i hated the fact that i needed to use a soul shard to cast shadowburn, and shadowfury was mainly useful on the BGs so that was also sad, then i went with affliction and got siphon life (which practicly allows me to tank by myself) and also unestable affliction and curse of exaustion and many other talents that improved my curses so that was very useful on PvE and incredibly useful on PvP (ever since i got it no one of my lvl or 2+ lvls has been able to defeat me if they are on their own) i just summon the sucubus, then seduce the target then i cast unestable affliction and immolate, then the target is coming to me so i cast instant curses like siphon life curse of agony and corruption (which becomes instant with the talents) and mean while the sucubus keeps damging the target, tehn i can just use instant howl of terror and death coil and the HP left to the target will be about to desapear, it is just so incredibly easy.... and the thing i look for the most on the armor is stamina, it is very useful in PvP and also in PvE
what do you think?

But when you raid, the damage you do overall will go considerably downhill.
Affliction is an awesome spec, dont' get me wrong... it's amazing for pvp too... the most common spec for pvp is SL/SL ... Siphon Life/Soul Link, put enough points into affliction for siphon life, and put enough points into demonology for soul link, and warlocks are almost unstoppable because they're a bitch to kill with both up.
And like I said, affliction has amazing utility... instafear, draintanking, siphon life and night fall. Night fall is probly the one talent that I really hate going with out... chance for an instant shadow bolt based off corruption is delicious.
Pre-Burning Crusade, I raided as affliction... it was the SM/Ruin spec as it was called, go far enough into affliction for shadow mastery, then put points in to destruction for ruin, it focused on doing DOTs and shadowbolt damage inbetween, I loved it.
The spec I chose now with my warlock is what I've seen as most common for raiding warlocks... like I said, it focuses on massive shadowbolt damage. I don't have shadowfury. the spec looks something like
this.
I summon a succubus, sacrifice her for the 15% shadow buff, and spam shadowbolt on the target I'm killing. That's all. The only DOTs I use are either curse of agony or curse of elements if I'm in a group that can benefit from the spell damage increase...
I can do around 800-900 DPS now with this spec, 1000+ if I'm with a paladin tank and I can seed... but... it's not a spec for PvP... infact it's horrible for PvP. PvP now is about survivability which is why SL/SL is so beneficial for PvP...

I think it's the actual cinematic that will be played when you start up WotLK for the first time. It has a very epic feel to it for sure, I won't spoil anything.
You can watch the non-HD version or download the HD version here.

I was thinking it was Malygos... but I don't think he was killed, so I think it's just a random frost wyrm /shrug .... if he's important we'll find out.

i hope he's important cuz killing saphiron for a lvl 80 won't be much fun, also i think it could be the mob before arthas in the arthas instance, or at least i hope so, it'll be so exiting

Well, since Malygos and Arthas are in the same area, it could be a dragon of the blue flight that Arthas killed and just buried some random place... or he just summoned him there.
One thing that makes me extremely happy for having my epic flyer, Northrend is going to be like four or five times the size of Outland, people in beta have said that there are two or three zones in Northrend that ARE the size of Outland... and just trying to fly across it on a regular mount will take an hour or some other obscene time amount.

Don't get something that will take a while to get, like the phoenix.
I have the nether ray and I love it. I still haven't gotten the drake cause I like the ray more.

but i think your mount is 280 % faster while the phoenix is 310% faster, and it's pretty cool
