He sure did.  It's alright, I guess (certainly not Food & Liquor) but I honestly expected more.  Many of the songs lack a certain quality that comes with professionalism (i.e. they sound sort of like something you find on MySpace) but after a few listens, they grow on you.  And, keeping in mind it's supposed to be a theme album, I can't really follow the story.  It almost seems non-existent and more like he's rapping a bunch of songs about the same thing.

His rhyme game is still air-tight though.  Take a listen for yourself!

zomg.  i just rediscovered Nas' 2006 album Hip Hop Is Dead!

Most certainly one of my favourite albums in a long time!  Every song (minus maybe two) is great!

Nas is a lyrical genius!

As for Love Lockdown, I'm not sure what I think yet.  it IS an okay song but i still feel like i'd have to hear it in context of the whole album.  i mean, after Graduation, the man can do no wrong in my eyes!
