Trademark are a UK Electro band that played live with MC Lars when I saw him. I don't see much Electro around these days, and I really like these guys so I am sharing them with you. I have yet to find an album I can buy, but I know it is on sale somewhere, they had it at the gig but I was out of money.

Here is their myspace, Come To Love is the best song on there:

Did you go to TOOL/ISIS this year? I had gotten tickets to see them and I was really excited about seeing/hearing Isis for the first time. Unfortunately I had to get a ride there from some stoners and missed Isis. But Tool was still great.

Whats awesome is that right now Tool is playing with Mastodon in Europe. Hopefully they bring that back to the US.

No I didn't go..because well, they didn't come anywhere near me..or the state I live in for that matter. But they said they're gonna come to Florida and all the other states they missed in spring after their European/Australian tour

some bands that no one has mentioned yet:

hundred reasons: definatly worth a listen, thought i prefere their heavier songs the don't do bad slower ones either.

65daysofstatic: awesome. add a dotcom and you have their url, so check them out. it's like nothing you've ever heard. probably. in a very good way. no vocals, just 4 guys (1 guitar, 1 guitar/keyboards, 1 bass, 1 drums/percussion) and a lot of energy.

zebrahead: just cos. if you like punk/ska or maybe even nu metal, give it a try.

scarling: if anyone knows of jack off jill (great name), it's the same singer, new band. similar sound to my vitriol.

more later if anyone's interested Tongue

I'm big into Industrial, but my repitoire is somewhat generic in that respect. With that said, look at these staples of the Industrial music scene:

VNV Nation
Assemblage 23
Decoded Feedback
Wolfsheim

Specific Tracks that kick booty:
VNV Nation - Electronaut (Instrumental...well, no vocals)
VNV Nation - Carbon
Decoded Feedback - Euthanasia
Assemblage 23 - I am the Rain
Assemblage 23 - Let the Wind Erase Me
Assemblage 23 - Complacent

I mention those only to give you a starting point. The Industrial scene is huge, so make good use of Pandora and find some shit that you like on your own. I've had good luck so far. Recent purchases:

Funker Vogt - Killing Fields
Imperative Reaction - Never Tomorrow

I love this stuff. Anything else?

My girlfriend listens to Zebrahead. I, personally, cant stand them Tongue

Ok..some albums I recommend:

Clayman by In Flames. Good melodic death metal if you like that stuff

Character by Dark Tranquility is very good. So is their album Projector. Projector is their more accessible album. Has more clean vocals and not that much death metal vocals. Character, on the other hand, is composed entirely of death metal vocals. Both are very good though.

Furious Angels by Rob Dougan. Symphonic techno music. Quite good. You've heard some of his songs on The Matrix and The Matrix Reloaded and Driven and a few other movies.

Vegas by the Crystal Method. The album that made them pretty much. Just overall awesomeness.

Lol I listen to nu-metal and alternative stuff too. Just been leaning more towards progressive metal and death metal more lately.

I've heard that the London OST is awesome but I haven't listened to it. Vegas is the one with the songs that they used in the FIFA games and a few commercials and television shows.

having look at the track list, the only one i recognise is Trip Like I Do. Check tracks called Weapons Of Mass Distortion and The Name Of The Game, both excellent.

also, have you heard of Overseer? tracks like Supermoves and Velocity Shift have been around a bit.

Your Ex-Lover is Dead - STARS
Canadian bands ftw. If you're into Indie, you'll enjoy this. WHEN THERE'S NOTHING LEFT TO BURN YOU HAVE TO SET YOURSELF ON FIRE. This song also has really pretty music to it. The cello is win.

I LOVE the video for this song.  It's inspired by "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" (one of the best movies evar).  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2yJSFHTrgM

If you like Stars, I'd also recommend checking out Devics.  http://www.myspace.com/devics  They have the same guy / girl singer type thing going with the "quiet is the new loud" kinda downtempo folksy sound.

i've been listening almost continuously to Johnny Hollow and Jakalope recently

but i can also massively recommend PAWN - look them up on iTunes - they've got an EP on there and it's stunning - anyone who remembers the first Portishead album and is waiting for the 3rd one to finally arrive, you'll find PAWN to be a suitable substitute

and also if you're a fan of the first Garbage album, then you'd be a fool not to check out Curve who it is rumoured basically provided the inspiration for the way that first album sounded.

Alright, seeing as I'm the one guy reccomending rap in this thread, I might as well continue:

I just acquired all of Immortal Technique's albums. Google him if you want, but this guy is seriously the truth. He's very political, and believe me, if you listen to some of this stuff, the rhymes this guy spits are INSANE. However, I guarantee he'll probably say something that'll piss you off.

In terms of specific albums....The Revolutionary, Vol.2 I think.

More rap, again, Wu-Tang Clan. Specifically, in terms of albums, I can recommend "Wu-Tang Forever," in particular, the track "Duck Seazon" is by far my favorite.  Also, check out "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)," which is almost equally awesome.

Oh wait, there's more, and it's NOT rap related! Hoooolleeeee shit!

I started listening to Avenged Sevenfold and Lamb of God about a week back. Some of the best metal/nu metal or whatever I've heard come out in years. Avenged Sevenfold's album "City of Evil" is even more awesome, in my opinion, and I highly suggest it. Lamb of God is some of the hardest metal I've heard in awhile that didn't suck (like most of Slipknot, except for a few choice tracks)

First of all, Immortal Technique is the awesome. I recommend him very much also.

Second, Slipknot isnt metal. They're nu-metal (wanna be metal). You wanna hear good metal listen to In Flames or Dark Tranquility or Opeth (my favorite) or I highly recommend Pain of Salvation. They're a progressive metal band, who's lyrics seem structured for a musical. They're very good, political, talk about society, are very progressive. They have concept albums with hidden recurring musical themes throughout their albums. Listen to The Perfect Element pt 1. That is their more accessible album

P.S- Slipknot sucks ass.
