I've just finished reading Ilium and just picked up its sequal Olympus by Dan Simmons. Found it a wonderful sci-fi book. A crazy twist where some future humans (or I guess thats what they are, I have yet to find out) become greek gods and re-inact the Troy myth on Mars.

Anyone read it?

Have you read Hyperion then? I'd imagine Endymion would be pretty hard to understand fully without reading Hyperion as they are the first 2 volumes of this more then brilliant 4 volume epic Cheesy

I read them in reverse (as I often do) because I found Endymion in the bookmine and then realized that there was stuff before it. So I ended up re-reading the second 2 books. Good stuff.

I read olympus but I haven't been able to find illium. I have a feeling that if I ever find it olympus will be so much more understandable.  Right now I'm a little confused as to what is going on.
