Inking Queries (spelling??)

Hey guys! First time posting here but long time fan! Loving the real gritty, yet still laugh out loud funny, current story!
But to my point.
I'm starting to get back into drawing. I have spent alot of time surfing the dotcom in search of tutorials on various ways in which there are to develop a webcomic! It's obvious that the bottom line is that there is no set way and that ultimately it comes down to personal skills, abilities, tastes and hardware. But my general belief is that you start by copying art and practise and practise and practise which results in developing your own style.
I personally have tons of tutorials bookmarked on colouring, inking and other CG related things and have tried many, many different things. I only tried to get back into my art a few months back and since then decided to invest in a scanner and a wacom tablet (cant remember its name now, it's a cheap budget model that's roughly a5 size... but it's a great tool to start off with).
I've moved from inking my work with the polygonal tool, to the pen tool and now after some messing around i'm getting to like using the tablet to ink my sketches in flash! I couldnt do it in Photoshop but the way that the brush tool tidies your lines in Flash is great!
My question to Hawk is this (or to anyone who has his or her own 2 cents/pence to drop off):
There is a very detailed forum post illustrating how you create a comic from scratch to finished colours. During this tut you show that you use Flash to ink your art. Recently i spent a bit of time at your Flickr account and noticed alot of your work (including the banner) to be done through more conventional inking techniques, namely pens. Have you now moved toward inking all Applegeeks in this manner or do you mix and match depending on what you need to achieve? I have to say i loved the inked stuff!
Also when you are inking in this manner do you then pick up on the computer where you would have left off when inking digitally, by which i mean do you still colour in CG and what do you do with the scanned image? Do you copy the layer? erase lines?
Sorry for the long post but i am very curious about learning as much as i can from the likes of yourself. I dont normally bother with forums and thus far am only a member of one other. However i love your work and i always highlight it as an example of where i'd like to eventually be with my own work. As such i need to assimilate as much info as i can..
