My first post, woot!

Just read the blog about the Frag Dolls!!! ... ...They are awsome!!! I got the chance to play them when they came up to Montreal and believe me, these girlZ are SO hardcore it's friggin scary. They pretty much wipe the floor with most players...Except my crew...But we did test the game for several months prior release... ;o) So that's sorta cheating I guess but sue me, it's my job...lol.

Shannon...BREAK A LEG! GOOD LUCK! GRAB A BOOB, which ever works for ya! The girls are busy but I think they have loads of fun + you get to travel! Meet new and interesting people! And most of all..GAME!!!!

But seriously, I agree with everything Ananth blogged and hell man! If people can't take gamer chicks seriously, maybe a lil one on one with a F-Girl is what the doc ordered!!!

That's all fer me this evening...Oh, props on the comic too...I envy your mad drawing skillZ!!!

Shannon I wish the best of luck to ya ^_^

But I don't know I'm still on the fence with FragDolls over all. It gives me warm and fuzzy feelings that there is a group of gaming girls who kick ass, giving other gaming girls someone to look up to. But they are a sponsored group and it kinda off sets me...offsets...one word or two, anyway making me extremely skeptical . But now I'm all curious and will most likely keep tabs on them, who knows maybe they'll be the greatest thing in gaming since metal gear.

You know, The Dolls get that a lot  Wink. It’s completely understandable, too. Skepticism has become their middle names, afterall. (It was even worse in the beginning when they originally came together). But at the same time, they don't hide the fact that they are there to market, promote, and play Ubisoft game titles. That’s what they get paid to do. A lot of people look at it as just a “group of pretty girls” who have money thrown at them by Ubisoft to go off and look like (as Gus from RedvBlue said) “glorified booth babes”. This is most DEFINITLY not the case. People go on about them without realizing that it is in fact a J.O.B. Having actually BEEN through the PR training and the run-down of what the life of a Frag Doll is like, I’ve come to the understanding that….it’s some serious hardcore work. As with any public-figure type job, there is so much more that goes on behind the scenes than they have the public believe.

For the most part, majority of the people point their fingers at the fact that they have one of the most popular gaming publishing companies as their backing. Like Ananth said in his article, if it weren’t for Ubisoft, the Frag Dolls wouldn’t exists. Period. Yet…I’m sure I can find a few gaming groups and individuals that are sponsored by various types of companies (including other girl groups)…just not by a huge name like Ubisoft. So, what's wrong with being sponsored when you are able to have a job doing what you love? This sorta marketing idea is actually starting to take off one step at a time…Ubisoft just got on the train before everyone else for the most part and got a little scuff for it in the end. But they’ve moved past all the “hear-say” and have turned into something I admire. They are here to promote the idea that female gamers, no matter who you are and what you do, can game just as well as the boys. After finally being able to meet them in person, I can honestly say they are some pretty damn powerful women. Both as individuals and as a group. They are strong, stand up for what they believe in…and kick so much ass that it hurts.  Smiley

Also, Thanks to ya'll for the goodluck wishes Smiley!!

Lol, my boyfriend thought you guys were just some pretty girls that were paid to play games.  Like you weren't enthusiastic about it. ... I'll have to tell him you guys play Halo 2... lmao ... he prides himself on being really good at it, even though his brother is better.

And, I'll admit, at first I was happy about it, but then felt the same way that Ben did, but after Ananth shedding light in his rant about it, I think it's damned cool now.  I mean, now when I play Warcraft III and someone doesn't believe that I'm a female, and they just got owned by me, I can point to you guys. :p

"The best part of coming into a gaming room (where women are playing) is that it smells good," Hommerbocker said, "because we're all girls and we smell nice."

I second this.
