i'll withhold judgement until we get a better trailer than like, 5 seconds. can't judge from that.

I don't know. Right now I think he makes a good ghost rider. I saw the 5 second trailer thingie and I agree that it's not enough to base an opinion on... but as soon as i heard (like, a year ago) that Cage was to be Ghost Rider, I thought to myself: 'Self, I think that'll be a good choice'

Nicholas Cage has been dying to play a Superhero since, well, Superman. Or so the rumor goes.
To be honest, I don't know much about Ghost Rider. I know what he looks like, and that he's one of Marvel's "New York Nights", but I don't know anything about the story or his adversaries. In other words, I look forward to the movie to see the badassery, and (un)fortunately it won't be tainted by not being up to snuff with the comic.

I saw some of the shooting earlier this year in Melbourne. The bike is badass in real life and the promo shots make it look better.
Best part? Having lunch next to Eva Mendes by chance

The bike is great I really do like how the have rendered out the flams and the skull. I can't say i am a big fan of Ghost Rider. I was impressed with the trailer and so i made the post about it.

Cage wanted to be Superman pretty badly, but that wouldn't have worked.
I think he would make a good Tony Stark though (for an Iron Man movie).

Careful, I remember hearing rumours they were getting Leo for a potential Stark... guess that means Iron man will die or be emotionally distraught at the end of the movie, because Dicaprio always does that in every single one of his stinkin' movies.
I wonder what version of the origin they'll use... what would be sweet is if they did the marvel knight story, its so gorey and dark its wonderful. I also agree, 5 seconds isn't enough time to judge Cage on being the rider, he's been decent in his roles thus far, but I don't recall him ever being a
"badass"
... anyone seen one where he's remotely like that, should be able to gage it from there.

He was semi-badass in Lord of War. Also in Gone In 60 Seconds...
He doesn't really seem like superhero material though. He always looks kinda neurotic. Then again, Ghost Rider is kind of a weird superhero...
Could anyone imagine Cage as Superman, though? XD
