When is this coming out in the States? My friend loves Invader Zim and is slowly getting me into it.
May 11th. Also,. Rocko's Modern Life and Adventures of Pete and Pete both rock. Nickelodeon has had many many great shows which is why it has managed to satay such a prominent station for so long.

The thing about Nick is that there quality of the show's changes from year to year. It all depends how much they import in other people's work. But anyone some how my friend has gotten an advance copy of this DVD. I don't know how he got it but hopefully I'll go over next week to take a look.

Hey MichaelK,
Yes, they had Kenshin on CT for a bit, but it was fairly butchered, and I'm just not used to the english voices.
Normally I prefer the english voices for those few anime series/movies I have seen, simply because those are the ones I was introduced to and associated with the characters, but in Kenshin's case it was the opposite...
And for some reason it didn't seem to be that popular, they reduced the showtimes to Saturday evening only I believe. But I don't really know, I haven't watched much TV at all since coming to college. Heh, or play video games for that matter... and the surprising thing is I don't really miss either all that much... strange, huh?

Yeah, old skool Nick was awesome! But switch it on today and what do you get? Crap, that's what. It's disappointing, really.

I love Spongebob Squarepants, it's reminiscent of Ren and Stimpy's irreverence but with an actual plot line. I also miss the days when nick was good, though I think I'm thinking back way further than you guys. I'm talking "Mr. Wizard", "You Can't Do That On Television", etc. They had great cartoon marathons on Sunday afternoons. I'm 26 and now feel old.
Rocko's Modern Life was possibly my favorite show on Nick from the past 10 years.
And because I'm just slightly evil...

Rocko's modern life was an awesome show and I personally like spongebob. it's like theres a story but absolutely nothing goes on. Going back now and watching ren & stimpy is like watching a scat movie or something. It's one of the most disgusting things ive ever seen.

Ach! I apologize. "Yellow, absorbant ... " flows better when speaking, must be an unconcious switcheroo related to my studies of foreign language. Spellings are changed all the time in Italian to preserve smooth flow when speaking.
Rocko's Modern Life is still one of the best cartoon series' ever made on Nickelodeon. It's certainly better than some of the grahdoo on the Cartoon Network. Samurai Jack, however is cartoon zen.

Oooh, and the Zim action figures by Palisades this summer!
And then the second one comes out August 31st! It is the summer of ZIM! I happened to be in media play one day and found one of the large, plush Gir as a robot (the 15inch one) for $3.74 I was so excited, he sits on my nightstand now.

I pulled into the McDonald's parking lot earlier today and saw a car dedicated to GIR. I wish I had had my camera. They had "It's not stupid, It's advanced." in decals in the back window, Turquoise painted hubcaps, and GIR plushies strewn about. It was cool.
