i just watched it and thought it was really well done. the choreography was great. then again, i haven't watched any of those other fanfilms so i can't really compare it to anything else. coming from a guy that's done some independent film work, i thought it was really good.

i'd take 'art of the saber' of this one anyday. yeah, the effects were a little better in the 'dork forces' thing but the fight was so much better in 'art'.

yeah, but i didnt like the editing... it was choppy at times, and a bit too fancy what with the twirling that you would never really do in a lightsaber fight... then again... lightsaber fights are impossible.. :?

I think all the moves were appropriate for light sabers. Much more interesting then anything that Lucas could have come up with.

I always wondered why he didnt do more fun stuff with lightsaber possibilities, in his fights. It's mostly traditional swordplay, only with hot burny swords that glow! He shouldve had like... some crazy kung-fu lightsaber martial arts dude... lol.. which would be completely out of place in SW.

Your impression is irrelevant.
I didn't think he was all the great either, but regardless he was there, and for what it was it hardly seemed out of place in the Star Wars universe.
Yoda on the other hand pulling off half the things we see him do in Ep. II and III is just wrong.

Wu Shu (Chinese martial arts) I believe. Though if I recall he's gone into a few various martial arts to some extent, but primarily uses Wu Shu.

agreed, my impression is irrelevant, but he still didn't do all that much to do with martial arts. I mean sure, you could tell he used his own technique when using a lightsaber and fighting, but it wasn't at all that unique or overly martial-artsy, which is what I was suggesting to be in a SW movie, and that also wouldn't fit. His style was enough to fit, but anything more wouldn't have.
Think jet li with a lightsaber. wouldn't work.

Thinks Matrix sequel...
On a completely unrelated note I always thought they should have had a lot more sword fighting in atleast one of the matrix sequels. Some one on one katana fighting would have been nice. Instead we get Morpheus hopelessly swinging at some white twin cheating haxorz.
