Saw it. and i made a comment.

for those of you who don't know, i have a deviantart account. It's http://www.soulgamer.deviantart.com, and i know how many of you distrust the site, but most of my favorite pieces that i have are up there.
especially this one
its about 2 years old, but it still reminds me how far i've come.

any criticism is greatly appreciated.

What's wrong with DA? Seems fine to me...a little overloaded, but it's still a decent art-hosting site.

i find nothing wrong with it. its just that there are others here that can't stand it, or just plain all-out hate it. its great to meet friends and have people make comments about your art, much like this here forum.

I never liked DeviantArt, it's too... deviant.

I like your style, but why not try your hand at inking?

Well, it looks like you have quite some talent there. Your first post actually reminds of an idea i had for a book, though mine was a bit different. But anyways. I think all you need is practice. All the other things like inking and Photoshop will come in time. But for now just enjoy your art, it's quite good.

A lot of people don't like it because there's too much art theft (or tracing/using sources without credit etc. ) and they believe it breaks the rules and the mods seem to have their heads too far up their asses about it. That's what they think. Me, I have no opinion on the matter. It's not TOO bad if you keep your head down, but some people like the attention. :/

BTW, your pictures are awesome. Too bad you don't have PSP or PS, but you can download trials if you like. :) (Mind you, if you buy and you want something cheap, you'd probably wanna go with PSP. Unless you use a Mac, but I'm not sure if PSP is Mac-compatible. Prolly not. *shrug*) I liked your 'Farewell' piece, you've captured the emotion well in it (whether you meant to or not X3;)

i have no patience for inking. i've realized that now.

still cool looking though. hopefully, i'll be able to digitize it and get it embroidered on a shirt here soon.
oh, and stole the perma-marker from my mom's work, but left it there.

It looks good inked though.  At one point you might want to consider stealing printer paper and stop using lined paper though, it save that much more time when digitizing images. Unless you ink digitally then it doesn't matter.  Just a thought.   Tongue

It may make a better silkscreen than embroidery on a t-shirt.

we're getting our t-jet screen printer replaced, and if i can get someone to ink it and color it before this weekend, we'll be able to get it screen printed onto a shirt rather than embroidered

it would look better screenprinted cause its printed directly into the shirt, no flakyness or anything either. we just don't have white ink though...
