The movie was fucking awesome.
My name is John Constantine, asshole.

I'm trying to imagine baby-face Reeves saying that. And I just keep giggling. Are you telling me he could pull it off?

He pulled it of rather well in my opinion.  I'm not a huge fan of reeves, but am a huge fan of Hellblazer (the comic book).

I wasn't dissappointed by this movie.  I've seen it twice so far.

Yeah, I went and saw the movie, and with that sort of delivery, he pulled it off. Peter Stormare was a good choice, also.

yeah i downloaded it at the weekend and watched in on sunday.
i'll definately be going to see it again when it comes out in the cinema's here in the uk (in three weeks time!!! damnit)
but then.... i liked Van Helsing, Underworld, Hulk, Hellboy, Punisher, Spiderman, Elektra, .... in fact, just about any of the recent wave of comic book movies, to be honest.
but i thought that this one is definately one of the better ones - very enjoyable. and i liked the idea behind the plot - heaven and hell not s'posed to be active in the world, just pushing and prodding from time to time

am off to amazon.co.uk to start collecting the comics i think

that good aye?

well i might have to skip sky captain and go see it then.

i like reeves. i reakon he's a good actor and i hate how after the matrix was made, whenever someone used slow motion in a movie, everyone said, "OMG copy the matrix why dont you?" its like. wtf. people were using slow motion way before larry and andy invented bullet-time.

I've seen it many many many times, one of the benifits of working part time at a theater. And I loved it enough to sketch this (nothing wrong with a little self promotion, eh?) I did download it though, since my boss hates it and is dropping it asap.

The one thing I don't like about the downloaded version( the one I got at least) is that they cut off the credits. And there is a little scene that happens after the credits role that I really like.

I won't give it away, just incase a few people haven't seen the movie. And for those of you that have, but left before the credits were finished. Stay, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Oh noooooooo! I had to leave straight after the last full scene so I could make my first lecture of Uni on time!   Dammit. Oh well, I think at least one of my friends hasn't seen it, so I'll just drag them along.

I bought a Chinese DVD of Sky Captain (long story), and the subtitles were hilarious. I think they were from Envy... but first time through I was just laughing so hard I couldn't breathe - it sounded so ridiculous.

Did you mean on every kind of slow motion or just when bullet time was used?

You should go watch Sky Captain as well, it's awesome.
