I just wanted to bring up themes. I have just discovered how brutally awesome they are. The purpose of this topic is for you all to share your themes(screens would be nice), and to bring attention to other people how cool they are. I am running JetBlack theme from Resexcellence.com

Here's how to do themes:

1) download ShapeShifter from versiontracker.com(note, ss is shareware and only    20 dollars, and the demo lasts for 15 days)

2) install it
3) download a theme from resexcellence.com
4) go to system preferences > shapeshifter
5) drag the theme(yourtheme.guikit) to the themes column in the apply section, select it, and apply the changes!
6) also, iconfactory.com has awesome icons

here's a screen of my theme: http://www.pawaterpolo.com/screen.tiff

I have PrefsMenu and ByteController in my menu bar; prefsmenu from CodeServant Software, and Bytecontroller from brainbyte.org
and programs visible are Safari, iChat(rendevous), and WebCode(another great app from CS software).

So I hope this has guided some of you to the magnificent world of themes. I also hope that other people show screens of their themes!

PS: whenever I boot my mac, I have to open the apps bytecontroller and prefsmenu. Is there anyway to make them automatically open when I boot?

If you go to system preferences and then users.  There should be a start up option where you can add programs you want to start when you boot your computer.

good old jet-black. really nice, but not really useable in my opinion.
I myself prefer themes like Milk.
You might also want to check out MacNN's GUI forum, as this is the place where most themes appear for the first time.

Thanks, icabod, worked like a charm. I didn't think to look in under users.

or you could go with aqua/pinstripe/whatever you call it.
IMO the greatest OS X theme around.
I was thinking of sticking the Halo theme on my computer for kicks sometime though.
