Ok, now please don't call me insane but basically I want to take all of my video game systems and fit them into a box (maybe computer tower). My reason for this is so I can have all of my game systems in one portable compact box.

If any of you out there have a link for a guide or any other imformation that would help me it would be much appreciated. I would want to do it for my playstation(1) <-- 2 is to expensive, Sega Genesis, Nes(ebaying one right now), Snes(ebaying one right now), and possibly my dreamcast system.

Once again thanks for any feedback. Cheers.

such a beast wouldnt be portable.

You sound more like you want a small form factor PC and some emulators.

It's been done before, but it really isn't that "portable" considering that you are really just cramming all three systems into one box.

You also need a pretty good understanding of wiring to do it, as well as the right tools.

Do you want someting like this?
Yoshi's Boxx
He has a second one that is more usefull to me. But it won'e really be *portable* at that size. I am with the emulator idea.
maybe something like this link. I hope that gets you to the part I mean, but I don't remember what is there, and it is blocked from work.

I will see if I can track it down a little later, but it is basically a mini-ITX computer built inside an old NES case, with functioning controller ports. You also (assuming that the emulator way interests you) may want to look into lik-sang for adapters so you can use origanal controllers.) Yoshi's Boxx is cool, but take a peek at his second one sometime (you may need to do a little googling to find it.)

i really think that something like this, in a small form factor with one optical drive would kick a ton of ass. i don't have anywhere near the electrical knowledge to do anything more than Yoshi's Boxx (i'd put it in metal instead of wood). good luck to you on your project.

first, why on god's green earth would you want to spend money "modding" those systems?  seriously...  second, definately would not be compact.  i mean, stack those systems on top of each other, and look at that.  add about six inches on each side.  does that look portable?  here's an idea: sell all that, buy an xbox, and live happily ever after

cool factor, my friend, cool factor.

and if you know what you're doing, you can fit all those consoles into a generic computer tower. not exactly portable, but it takes a LOT less space than normally.
