CoreDuoTemp takes up about 24mb of memory (out of 2 gigabytes) on my computer, and doesn't seem to slow it down at all.

I have dashboard devmode turned on... so I just use the CDT widget dropped onto the desktop. It uses less memory (seriously) and doesn't take up space in the dock like the Application version does.

hmm... CDT doesnt show up in my dock, it just launches and goes straight to the menubar, no dock icon present. I do have the widget too, but i prefer seeing it in the menu.

Strange. I can get it to go in my menu bar, but it still stays in the dock as long as it is open.

Maybe you just need to download the latest version.

there might be an option in the preferences, like quivksilver. You can choose whether or not it shows up in the dock...

There is, but it doesn't have any effect.
Usually the preferences window is the first thing I open when trying out a new app!

I found out about a cool utility for the security-conscious people out there. This script/app will basically take a photo with your iSight each time an incorrect password is entered at login, and save the jpeg to a folder. I installed it all and it works great, so that now if anyone ever tries to input a password, I'll know exactly who did it.

I like that. Does it support other firewire cameras?

If you want to search accross multiple pages, Google can do it.
You don't need a special application.
