A Few Words from Emergency Soda Removal Expert thefelinepunk*:"When experiencing an BSE ("Beverage Spill Emergency"), follow this simple rule:
D.A.M.!"
1.
DUMP.** As soon as humanly possible, flip your keyboard upside-down to allow your soda to flow out as fast as it came in. This will help a lot with the cleanup process that's sure to follow.
2.
ALCOHOL. You'll need regular rubbing alcohol (like you put on your boo-boos), a handful of cotton swabs ("Q-tips"), an old towel (to soak/otherwise clean up the soda mess you just dumped out of your keyboard), and a whole lotta patience. This is going to take a while.
3.
MANUAL CLEANING. Dip the end of a cotton swab into the bottle of rubbing alcohol. Make sure to shake/squeeze all excess alcohol back into the bottle. Now carefully work the swab between the keys until it touches the bottom of the board. Now, run the swab back and forth between the lines of keys. Repeat until you feel no sticky resistance. Be careful not to overuse the swab as the cotton can break up and get stuck in there. This is, make no mistake about it, going to be a long and tedius process, but
you're the one who wasn't careful with their drink.

Now you know what to do*** in the event of a BSE! Remember: there's no use crying over spilled Pepsi!
