how do i know if i got it or not,if so where do i goto get to my settings andwhat should my settings be on.im suppose to have wifii ability i just wanna double check

do you know any college or university near by??? cuz maybe there they've got wifi and you could check there the basic settings

just windows seven on a toshiba satelite 350 something,i went to the library and they have a hotspot  and the internet connection symbol looked weird and i double clicked it and "pop up"showed different connect points so i went to the on with the hotspot symbol,thx 4 the help guys
