I've stuffed my internal drive from my Mac mini into an external usb enclosure, and connected it to my Mac to check if it was working ok.  It worked fine.

So...then I formatted the drive as an NTFS partition using XP, to get rid of my old Bootcamp and Mac partitions.  The problem is, when I connect the drive when using Leopard, I can still see the old xp partition and not the new one!

Does anybody have any ideas as to why this is and how to fix it?  Is there some sort of volume info that's cached on the Mac that I need to clear?

Likely either the changes weren't committed, or you formatted the wrong partition

Nope...I'm pretty sure that I formated over the old partition, as I destroyed both of the old partitions to create a new one, which was then formatted.   I'll re-format it again over the weekend and see if it's anything else.

Thanks for the suggestion though.
