Is the demo only out on the PSN? I haven't seen in on Live.

You have to look for it in the new demos section of marketplace on Live.  It came out last Friday and I was surprised it wasn't featured.

Really? I can't believe I missed it. I'll let you know what I think after I play it. Smiley

-----EDIT----
After playing the demo twice through I have to say that I am going to pre-order this game. I really love the stealth and tactics. I'm pumped for the game now.

Getting used to not jumping into a fit will take time.  There was one scenario where there were 4 or 5 armed guys and I just wanted to swoop in and bust some heads.  I died every time though.  Bullets actually kill you in video games for once.  The last room, the big one (that I think is the last one), with another 4 or 5 armed guys was a struggle to hold back and wait for each to be alone so I could dive in and pummel them.  I look forward to using the grapple to take guys down.  I didn't have any opportunities during the demo.

Bat-fantasies will soon come true.

I love waiting on the gargoyles for a inmate to pass by and using the special vertical take down. It feels so nice. Batman is my favorite superhero. <3

The only thing I am afraid of is the combat almost seems too easy and could get quite repetitive. Will you be able to upgrade abilities in a slightly RPG fashion?

I'm not sure about the ability upgrades.  I think the way they're avoiding the repetitiveness of hand-to-hand combat is by increasing the difficulty of taking enemies down as you progress.  The same moves won't work and you'll have to switch up your techniques.  Something like that.  I'll have to go back over the old articles I've seen and double check.

if you wait on top of the glass ceiling in that last section, when the guy walks under you, you can do a takedown through the glass when he walks under you. It's awesome.

It's also great fun listening to jokers comments as you pick them off Tongue

I just pre-ordered from amazon. Normal version though, not the one with the batarang...

I went with the batarang.  I'm going to put a lot of holes in my walls.

I heard Amazon pre-orders come with a prequel comic, but Gamestop pre-orders come with a Scarecrow level with neurotoxin goodness.  I'm hoping there's another way to get that level since I went with Amazon.

The comments from the actual guys are funny too. When they get scared they start shooting randomly. :p

Personally, I would rather have the prequel comic over DLC. I'm guessing they'll release the content in a couple months after the release anyways.

The only reason I'm a bit skeptical of the idea that they'll release the DLC later on is that I don't know of other Gamestop pre-order add-ons that have gone public in the past.  I'm not very well versed in the area though.

Definitely trying out the glass-room-take-down now.   Grin

After considering how much money I have to spend in the next coming months for other things I'm thinking about waiting for some reviews of the game before I make a decision on whether I'll buy it or not. It looks good. I just don't know if it will be $60 good.

todays comic is the win.

It was also fun to see the trailer with Harley and Ivy, echoing their on/off relationship when Harley's not with mistah J.

Are we allowed to post scans of magazines on the forum? I found the Arkham Asylum Game Informer review but I don't want to get in trouble.

Anyone else discover the vertical takedown?  You snatch a guy up, drop him with a rope around his ankle, and then you can let his friends discover him and freak out or just throw a batarang at him and let him drop down (from a safe distance that won't kill him but will knock him out).  Don't wait for the last guy to do it though.  Once you snatch him up, it's all over.

I have no idea what the laws are for posting magazine images.  Here are some links for GameInformer's website.  Those with a subscription or GameStop Edge card will be able to see a little more than the rest.

I lent my 360 to my friend since I've been too busy (and away on vacation) to play. I haven't played the demo yet Sad

Well, anyways, Game Informer gave it a 9.5 which is a lot higher than I was expecting. They said is was this years BioShock which is a pretty big statement.

@Darkshine - That isn't cool. You should play it as soon as you get it back.
