I want an iPhone :(

WWW
« on: March 10, 2009, 11:33:08 AM »

I was looking at the list of apps today because i'm getting an iPhone this weekend after my paycheck comes in, and through my love of AG I thought, "You know, someone a whole lot smarter than me should make an app that makes it really easy to read AG/AG Lite comics on the iPhone."

Just a thought smart people...I'm sure it's possible...

If I had the time, I would make one.

Would it be okay if someone else happened to create said iphone app for you? To be submitted for your approval of course, but at least something to start it up?

i actually played around with this a few months back. wasn't really satisfied with the results (combination of performance, caching, and just dynamics of reading a large image on a small screen)

Hmm, well to be honest to me it would seem more like a modified RSS feed that could also save the images for offline viewing.

That's all I did really. swipe left and swipe right do +1,-1 and pinching zooms the image. The purpose wasn't really this app though, this thing was just part of some more general experimenting. I dunno, at the end of the day i'm not a huge fan of shoehorning things into new form factors, but that's just me.

Personally, I'd prefer a mobile version of the Web site and not an App. My reasoning for this is updates to the firmware could upset the App.

Regarding the new sketchbook app, I am unable to downlaod it on my iPod touch becuse it say I needed a microphone.

Keep the good work up though. Love your art style.
