Is this the board you got?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130187

While it's an okay board, I would highly recommend in the future spending the most on your mobo (don't be cheap) than any other part.

Why?

Your motherboard should be the part that lasts you the longest, when building a computer it should be the part you least upgrade compared to your other parts.  Upgrading a motherboard isn't pretty because in turn, you'll end up upgrading everything else if your motherboard is a legacy board.

This happened to me.

I'm warning you because it may happen to you if you plan to upgrade in two or three years from now.

I had a socket 939/AGP board, and I didn't think it would be a socket that would be replaced anytime soon, fast forward three years, board died, I was stuck getting a new video card, new CPU, new RAM ON TOP of a new mobo.  It wasn't a pleasant experience at all.

Needless to say, I didn't buy a cheap motherboard this time.  I spent 250 dollars on this beauty and I'm planning it to last me a few more years than my old board.  (it's down to 150 now...) looks like something you may be interested in sometime soon (it's nVidia based instead of ATI)

yes it is, but i am not planning to upgrade my PC in a long time cuz it is more than  perfect right now and i think  it'd become like some kind of obsession so thanks for the advice but i think i am fine for now

for now, yes...

but gotta think ahead, you may be fine now but in three years you won't be, for how quickly hardware becomes outdated and useless... and say if something breaks in a few years from now... in order to get a new part, it will probly lead you having to upgrade your motherboard, and in turn... everything else, which then leads you having to build a whole new system.  Where as... if you put forth the money NOW, and have to replace a part in a few years, your motherboard shouldn't be outdated in that time and you can replace one part.

you are right... you are completly right but what i mean is that i had been saving money for 2 years and right now i wouldn't like to think i spent my money unwisely, i know this PC might have some imperfections but now that i already bought it and i can't do anything the only thing i can do is enjoy it instead of thinking how it could have been... please don't take me wrong, i don't pretend to say that what you are saying isn't true it's just that i don't want to think about the bad things. but again thanks a lot for your constant intrest Smiley
