Stupidity killed the cat. Curiosity was framed

« on: June 26, 2008, 04:21:02 PM »

So, I bought my first Apple product last Sunday.  A beautiful Black 8GB iPod nano.  But today, I wanted to add more songs to it (I only had 8 or so songs on it, and it only took up 45.6MB) So I added the songs to my iTunes and tried to sync it, but I got a message that 6 of the songs couldn't sync.  I moved the songs from my desktop to my music folder beforehand, so I though that was the case, so I wanted to reset my iPod, but I got a message that it couldn't be Reset.  what is the problem?

Have you set it to manually sync with the iPod? (DON'T let iTunes do it, you'll have way more problems than you can imagine)

If so, set it to manually sync.  Make sure the songs are loaded into iTunes, and then just drag and drop them into the iPod.

(To load the songs into iTunes - File -> Add File to Library (Ctrl-O for Windows, probly Cmd-O in Mac), then browse for the songs and add them.)

You could also click the songs in question and tell iTunes to convert to aac? (I forgot and am too lazy to check)
