Full trailer, not a teaser.
http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1808406490/video
SO EXCITED.
Dunno how long that's been out.

In my defense, no one posted it here! D: But they SHOULD HAVE! I blame everyone other than myself.
It does look neat, though. But I remain nervous. Until I actually see it, I'm cautious about getting my hopes up.
Neat is definitely the way I would describe it
.
But yea..the trailer and the teaser look amazing. Do you think they're going to change the ending? Because I'm not sure how most audiences would react to the ending of the book.
Also, I hear that pirate story and other little stories like that aren't going to be in the theatrical release but they will be on an extended dvd version

mm, not trying to steal your thunder, you asked how long it was out, and it says on the page
In my defense about not posting it... well, I don't know much about Watchmen until the movie was announced (I'm like a second-rate comic nerd, I get the info from other people, not me...) ... but now I'm interested in checking the comic out... maybe I'll ask someone to get it for me for a Xmas gift...

Sorry if this is off point from the curren tthread conversation just wanted to say I was excited when I saw Night Owl's airship in the trailer. That thing rising out of the murky waters with an honest to goodness super hero duo team aboard was one of my favorite moments in the whole story.

I definitely recommend reading it, Orcish. It's worth it, and has some fabulous... well, everything. I remember talking to a guy who owned a comic book store, saying that after The Dark Knight came out (when the Watchmen teaser was released) he sold more copies of Watchmen than before. Regardless, it's a great graphic novel, one that even my father keeps raving about, and he read it over fifteen years ago (I believe).
I hope they don't change the ending... the ending is part of what makes it so fantastic (IMO).

after the dark knight teaser, watchmen was on the new york time's bestsellers list for a number of weeks. every book store i've been to has it on display and my local comic shop continues to get more shipments each week to replenish the stock. i'm more excited about the price of my issue #1 and #2 going up.

It's nuts what a movie can really do. I'm sure V for Vendetta ran into a similar instance, as did 300. Although maybe not to the same extent as Watchmen, given its heavy popularity even before the movie was in production. I can definitely see how excited one would be about their issues going up in price though, haha. How much are they worth, about?

#1 is about $45
#2 is about $15
those are estimates. i'd have to double check. i'm thinking of getting #1 graded, 'cause that'll had a zero to the price.

Which must be infuriating for some people...
I picked up a beand new copy of Watchmen (My old one was in a terrible state) for just £3.99, I've visited the same bookshop since and now it's £11.99 again. On the other hand, bookstores like WHSmiths and Waterstones must be making a
fortune

I just got back from the midnight release... All I can say is that it was completely faithful to the graphic novel and that I loved this movie, a lot. They changed around a few details to make it fit better on-screen, but nothing hugely significant IMO. Every scene looked like it was straight out of the novel. I'll be seeing it again!

Just got back from seeing it also.
I have yet to read the Graphic Novel (did it on purpose, better to see the movie then read the book i think) my friend who i went with had a problem with a few things.
He said, A) to violent, made him cringe even before the violent scenes cause he knew there was going to be excess of blood etc
B) Dr. Manhattan shows to much emotion or some such... iono what he's talking about... i think he was just being picky.
C) The end was bad... Dr. Manahttan doesn't do something or some such again.
iono. feel free to tear those apart. but don't tell me anything that was different want to read the Graphic Novel and find out for myself. I see them as to different experiences.

Good that I never read the book. But I looked up the Wikipedia article (blasphemy!!!) and it sounds quite good. I love 300 and I love Sin City. I love comic book related movies. They´re always half phantasy, but in a way you could imagine that this could really happen.
