WARNING!

I downloaded the "ProKit Update" from Apple the other day and now I find that my copy of
DVD Studio Pro is fucked!  I was trying to make a new DVD on my old G4 Quicksilver
powermac (on which I still have DVD Studio Pro v. 2, since I am not sure
whether the updated version will be too top heavy for this machine), and I note that after the
update I can't change the options via dropdown menu for where a track "end jump"
will be, or where the menu button will go.  It is as if there are no buttons or
menus to jump to because nothing shows when the control is clicked.  First I
thought I might have done something wrong on this new DVD, but then I opened
an old completed project which has already been built and find that the same problem
obtains.  I have never seen this before and the only thing I can think of is
something in the recent update fucked up the old version of DVD Studio.

Anyone else experienced this?  And is there a way I can "uninstall" an update installed via "Software Update"??

(This is really annoying because I really wanted to complete a DVD of the fansubs of the anime BLUE DROP in time for my friends' weekly anime get together this Wednesday night - now not so likely!)

Invincibility is absolute. Security is relative.

As far as I'm aware, the updates have their own package receipts which you may be able to uninstall it with. It may have replaced some required older files, however. You might have to reinstall.
