I need help.
A few weeks ago I purchased Illustrator CS2 for my Mac. I installed it and it ran fine for like 3 weeks. Last night I attempted to open the program and I got this "a serious problem has occured in Illustrator, try reinstalling" message.

So ... I reinstalled it ...

After the reinstall the installer app told me "something went wrong during installation, try again"

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Now its been like 8 trys and i still cant get my illustrator to install again. This is a time sensitive situation and i need my precious illustrator. I need to know if this has ever happened to any of you, and if there is anything i can do to stop it. If not ... Im going to go get my money back and special order another one : : which could take weeks.

Well, look i had the excactly same problem with photoshop time ago, the problem i see is that when you unisntall illustrator, the problem stays in the folder it was, for example, you installed it on C:\\Program files\Adobe\Illustrator\, when you uninstall it, that folder remains and it keeps the problem, what you have to do is to delete the folder, complitly delete, not only one file or something, the whole folder (illustrator folder), and then try to reinstall it, If i am not wrong that will fix your problem
