Hey Ananth I just saw it this Friday I figure I might as well give you a heads up. I can see some criticisms with the movie if people just don't really...get what's going on. It's a really gritty and unrelenting take on a lot of issues to say the least. I will say this, do NOT take any young kids to it. I feel the need to emphasize this because there was a 7 year old girl in the theatre asking about various things. I do not think that someone that young can completely comprehend the movie, nor should they witness what is seen here. In Canada it has a 14A rating, but it's the type of scenes that you see. There's a lot of action but real gritty, and they don't try to polish anything. It's there and you take it or leave it.
I do highly recommend you see it Ananth, and to anyone else who hasn't. If you're really squeamish then maybe not, but aside from that it was a great movie. Acting was suberb, the drama was definitely there, the writing, atmosphere, everything was downright just done. I found it to be one of those movies that takes all these polished hollywood aspects of movies today, and throws it out the window. You get into this movie and you forget about things like high definition, big explosions, or awesome action sequences. You just get what's in front of you and very rarely do you get to see a movie that does this. So go see it, for a unique experience in itself.

The political commentary is dead-on. At least one history major was on the writing staff. Everything you would expect from a crisis like that, such as the British propaganda ad.
With more movies like this, it's much harder to watch standard Hollywood fare, with its spoon-fed dialogue and computer action sequences. What this did most effectively is draw the audience in, because even those who don't forget it's a movie are genuinely concerned about the people getting hit with what look like live rounds on everything. It must've taken heroic organization to make sure no one got hurt.

i've seen it a while ago, and i was blown away.
it didn't look like a traditional film, the image looked more like something out of a documentary than an actual movie.
it's really great i liked it alot
