I too can not get it to switch to the left when i hit it from the left. It always moves to the right no matter where I tap my 12" iBook.

I have gotten this to work on three computers now (14" iBook G4, 15" Powerbook G4, and 17" MBP) without a problem (none of those are mine Sad ). The first time I did it on the iBook it didn't work, so I went back to the begining and tried again. Worked fine.

I would just recommend doing that. Start over and make sure you read the directions carefully.

It is hard to give help on this because it is one of those thing where you really have to be there to guide someone through it.

Well on a recent Video on Cnet that shows the SmackBook software, there was a very interesting link shown...

So you need to rerun the command in the terminal every time you start your mac back up?

I find it really funny that the news report about the smackbook (with the applegeeks link) is sponsored by microsoft.

Thanks for the guide, but there's a problem for me at least, does the smack only work in one way because i cant seem to get it to work for the other side (left side) but tapping it on the right will work just fine?

which is a good thing, as i just checked, and no, i deleted it cos it gets boring after the first couple of times
i liked the idea of the window that'd stay the right way up no mater how you turned the screen around, but that didn't work very well so i trashed that too
