I was wondering what sort of steps you take to create the comic, like do you make a bunch of rough sketches before making the final image, or do you know what you want as you start? Also, how long does it take for you to make a page on the average (from when you get the script)? Any other such info would be spiffy. Thanks!

I too was wondering the same thing.  Will Hawk Studious perhaps have a complete tutorial walkthru section that may feature this?

From the HawkEYE you regularly see rough sketches of the latest comic in progress, so I guess that would be a yes Smiley

Hey Hawk, I've got a question: Do you do the comic entirely on the computer after sketching it out, or start it on the computer, or sketch, scan, then manipulate? I'm thinking about going the start-to-finish route entirely on the computer, Although I'm not sure.

So, do you go over the scanned images in the computer, or use streamline, or something else? (I don't mean to pester, it's just I've been trying each of these, with mixed results)

I go over the scanned images with a brush. even though streamline was made to save the trouble, it's still a hassle. you need to make sure your sketch is clean.

Right, that's my problem, the sketch isn't clean enough, so I can't get streamline to do what it's supposed to.

Another question: Your tutorial on 3dtotal.com shows how you color images, do you use the pen tool with your mouse or with a wacom?[/url]

Awesome, its pretty amazing how you can get such great lines and detail in small images. Nice work Hawk.
