Got questions on buying a new Mac?

I use virtualization, too. But the last time I suggested Windows on a Mac for gaming a Mac Fanboy tried to kill me with the "evil look",...
I also don't know if virtualization would work in this case since he needs 3d hardware acceleration

Parallels offers it and it works pretty well. Although I'd go with Boot Camp for gaming 80% of the time.

Well if I have to Bootcamp windows on to play then i will just build a PC and have windows and Linux as much as I hate windows. It will be cheaper that way and I need to save as much money as  I can. And When I say college I mean im skipping the first two years due to extra classes etc. And going into premed so I wanted a reliable computer for papers and all that and I need a new one to replace my current dinosaur.

i have to say that i just bought my first mac, and the price is stll high. but i still can't ebelieve i own this machine.. i bought the MBP lowest model and upped the harddrive to 320gig 7200rpm and put aperture and iwork family pack and its just the most wonderful machine i have ever worked with in my life, the machine runs great and it just works like the commercial says. i use undercover for mac incase it gets stolen and what not. if your looking at a new comp. im totally recommending it.. i have a cheap pc for gaming any comp within the last 2 years can run most games just get a 100 dollar graphics card from newegg and your fine. im playing cod 5 nicely.. anywho.. its worth it. software may seem hard to come by but that just means your not looking hard enough, people make it.. people have had the same eeds as you.. the comps rock...
