Is this Transformers Movie Test Footage?

This image above of what appears to be Transformers movie test footage from Industrial Light and Magic. If it's legit it looks like there is a good chance Sideswipe could be making an appearance in the movie.

You can download this video clip from.

As rough as this footage is, I am very impressed by this clip. It's the little ways that make it so cool, such as the way the car moves and bounces as it transforms. I also like how it looks like the Generation 1 Transformers, as opposed to their new Alternator forms. Don't get me wrong, I like those, too. But the G1 guys had more "figure" to them, and didn't look so delicate/breakable.

It's gonna be a looooooong wait until 2007.

Don Murphy has confirmed on his board that the test footage is fake and not from ILM. He goes on to say that everyone at the studio who's involved got about 50+ emails about it. This created a huge buzz in the Transformers world, so whoever did make it is probably pretty happy.  Roll Eyes

Maybe i woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning but i really do not like how Mr. Murphy handed the responce to the ILM clip on his board.

Well, Don Murphy is said to be a man of many talents. My guess is that tact is not one of them.  Roll Eyes

I get my news from the TFW2005 website, and appearently there's been a huge internet war between their boards and Don's boards. I guess that means there's politics in everything.

Again, Please remember maybe it's the side of the bed i woke up on. But... He could have just said "Sorry guys, as fantastic as this fake ILM footage is, it is not real. When something real is ready to be shown you will be the first to know"

But that was not his response. I don't know. I guess im a customer service kind of person. I love transformers and i do buy a lot of Tranformer collectables, comics, dvd's, ETC. But if Mr. Murphy is going to Verbally defecate on Tranformer fans who comment on his message boards, then maybe the guy has made enough money in his life and does not care about movie ticket sales?

Mr. Muphy has the weight of a lot of fans on his shoulders. It's a huge task and responsibility and it comes with the job. If he can't handle it maybe someone else should.

-sigh-

On the flip side, I am also an Apple Fan. We all know CEO Jobs is a loud jerk. Hell, he through me out of Apple Computer HQ one time and I still by his computers.

Maybe I am taking this all to personally and I should sit back and just see the out come.

The following is an update from the ALL SPARK forums about who is on board for Cullen and Welker.

Quote
No voice actors yet. Ian gets it. Tom gets it now, at least for Cullen and Welker. The other producer who I seldom mention resists.

For thoughts of you who do not know Peter Cullen and Frank Welker played the orignal voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron In the 1980’s cartoon. I think it is very important that at the very least these two are allowed to continue their rolls in this movie.

Reportedly there are some big names who want to sign up and do voices as well. But most fans and myself agree that it would only serve to hurt the movie.

If that clip is fake, then the real movie images are probably here:

Video Interview With Don Murphy

Link
http://www.iesb.net/upcomingfilm/012306.php

Quote
We met Don Murphy last year at Comic Con during a little shindig for The Masters of Horror. Obviously this wasn't the first time we had heard of him considering his distinguished career from Natural Born Killers to the critically acclaimed Apt Pupil.

The opporunity to interview Mr. Murphy arose last week and I wasn't sure if I should be excited or scared. Google Don Murphy and see what you get. Some people love him and some well, just don't get on his bad side.

But on the contrary, Don was quite likable and very friendly. He is something that is rare in Hollywood, he's real. There is no beating around the bush here, he tells it like it is. Some people are in this business to make money and others are in it because they love to make movies. Don Murphy is one of the latter. He loves movies and is a fanboy at heart.

We met with Don at his office at the Jim Henson Studios, formerly the Charlie Chaplin Studio, in Hollywood. We had just spoken with Murphy's Torso producing partner, Todd McFarlane and wanted to get Don's take on the recently announced graphic novel adaptation to be directed by David Fincher.

Don also tells us that Shoot 'Em Up with Clive Owen starts shooting within a week and also gives us a quick update on Ironman.

Oh and we had to ask about that other little project he has coming up, Transformers.

Check out the video interview below
