Transformers (July 4, 2007)

a partial look at Bumblebee…Michael Bay style…from the forthcoming movie.
This is NOT a full body shot, but it’s clear enough to get a sense of the aesthtic and approach this new iteration of Transformers will sport.
Personally, I think it’s pretty groovy…although purists may take issue with this (apparently) sportier design.

Nevermind. Nice but am curious to see how this will look in reality... As a cartoon it's easier to accept this sort of thing, but in live-action it's going to look rather silly, I think anyway.

I was a little upset myself the first time i saw the iamge. However - after looking at it closer you can almost see how the face could still resemble the face of bumblebee from the cartoon and comic books. So i have hope!

Pretty cool, although it didn't really grab me until they flashed the Autobot logo at the end. Not sure about calling it "Transformers: A Michael Bay Film", as I'm fairly certain that'll cause a large groan from various people in the audience (I don't personally have a problem with him, but a lot of people do). While I realize this movie is in extremely early stages right now (a teaser released this early is very unusual), the graphics of the Transformer looked kinda... fake. I'm certain I'm being too harsh on this, but I'm a big Transformers fan (been one since I was 6), and given the hype they put into this trailer, I was kinda hoping for a little more detail. Oh, well.

Another thing I wish they did was put in the tune of the old theme song (or the old Transforming SFX), but that might've spoiled the mood so I'll forgive them on that one.
