It’s a promo video that was shown at the San Diego Comic Con. The video is a little poor for 2 resins. One it appears to have been recorded from a handy cam and you need windows media player to view it.

The Transformers
Status: Preproduction; debut set for July 2007.

Original series: This glorified toy commercial, which ran from 1984-87, is about shape-shifting alien robots who disguise themselves as trucks, boats, jets and sports cars.

The new take: Although the Transformer series and toys have taken several different forms over the years, executive producer Steven Spielberg says the film will lean toward the original 1980s version.

"I was not a kid, and I loved them," he says. "I would buy Transformer toys for my kids, but then I would play with them in secret. (The movie) is going to be really steeped in tradition, but it makes way for a newer line of toys."

Expect to see the heroic Autobots led by Optimus Prime — the cartoon's John Wayne-like tractor-trailer leader — as they battle evil Decepticons, who threatened human life and Earth's resources in pursuit of new energy sources.

Armageddon crash-master Michael Bay is directing the live-action adventure. Robots are rendered in photo-real computer animation

Ian, having worked with Michael before, also will be having significant impact on the creative decisions of the film. Yes, he knows about the voice actor movement. Yes, he knows about the board and like the writers, Tom and the DW execs, he will hopefully come and interact with you. Yes, this is big news for the project insofar as you only bring someone like this on when you are seriously close to making the film.

You can discuss among yourselves. Time constraints due to the holiday and SHOOT-EM-UP mean I will not answer anything today.

I'm a bit of a Transformers nut and have been following the production of the film fairly closely (yes, even during the infamous Don Murphy vs. TFW2005 incident). I for one am looking forward to it. My favorite Con killer (Prowl) won't be in it, but hey, it's Transformers, and I've been dreaming for something like this since I was six. In fact, I'm a little miffed that Michael Bay beat me to it. 

Summer 2007's gonna be one heck of a ride!

Don Murphy has posted a few tidbits about the new movie on his message board earlier today. Here's a summary of the new info as posted in this thread :
"...script notes flying back and forth, budgets being debated and discussed, Designs being considered- but nothing I can share right now, so very sorry."
"There is some [mass/volume shifting] in the current script- not a lot but I feel it works well."
Arcee is still in the script, but does not appear a lot.
In response to a question regarding things still being OK for a 7/4/07 release, Don said "stay on target".
"deals are still being worked out" for most of the alternate modes, so whatever's in the script now may change
When asked about how far off the casting process is, and if he's discussed this with Michael Bay, Mr. Murphy said "BUDGET is next
