Voice chat was the worst idea ever for CS. But, at least you can block people off...but then again they will get all pissed because they are trying to talk to you over the mic and you blocked them. Ugh...people need to be able to type fast if they want to communicate over an online game.
yeah, I hate a lot of people that play CS...they just ruin it for a lot of people. Bots are kind of fun to play against for a little while though...if you dont want anyone complaining...but they are not too fair either.

Yeah, some bots are just insanely programmed...like shooting your face off in one shot with a glock from halfway across the map...o_O

I used to think holding a ruler to my screen for lining up Yahoo Pool shots was bad . . .

 .. Hey, voice chat is good for LAN parties, when you don't feel like shouting across the room to your team about what you're going to do.... and especially when one of the people on the opposite team is sitting right next to you.  Been there, done that ... and at least at LAN parties, the only people that have a mic are the ones that take the time to have decent gaming equipment, which cuts out a lot kiddies talking nonsense in CS at the LAN party club I go to... 'course, that doesn't cut out the typing... -_-;;

Well, it's not quite the same as it is at LAN parties I guess....

'cuz strategy is the LAST thing I've EVER seen a mic used for. >_>;;

In tournaments where prizes are involved, strategy is one of the key things to winning.

I've played every game variant on Halo 2 Live . . . only a small handful of games used the mic for strategy (all in Bomb gametype, nothing else, not even Big Team Battle). But voice chat in H2 is spotty anyway.

I've had my fair experience of voice chat through Halo 2 ... not first-hand experience, mind you, watching my boyfriend and his brother play online.  God that's a laugh.  (His brother owned before most people started hacking...)

Only FPS I played was the Starsiege: Tribes series. Most of the comments were actually nice ones. Like "nice head shot" or "nice mid air" (shooting someone with a disk while they are jetting around in air). The only mean ones were against hackers, which were very existent.

Oh, I play halo 2 also...umm There are so many idiots on that game it amazes me. It dwarfs CS on the amount of under 15 year olds, idiots, assholes, and arogant nobs there are in one game.

As for WoW, you can't tell what the other side is saying, so that helps Wink But, I get spit on for dieing in fights where its me vs 4 other people.

Ohoh .. this happened to my boyfriend's brother in Halo 2, I have to share it...

Him and like two of his IRL friends were playing against some people online, the people prior to the match were talking about a bunch of shit, and after Dan (my boyfriend's brother) and his team beat them, one of the guys were like, "Yeah well, how much can you benchpress?"  Dan said.. "Your mom."

Shocked Shocked Shocked ... yeah, it may be childish, but it just symbolized the ownage.
