So I'm using Illustrator CS on my mac, and in an attempt to to get some reference material in my work space, I copy an image from Safari and paste it.

Rather than getting the image though, I get an equally sized box with the following message: "QuickTime™ and a TIFF (Uncompressed) decompressor are needed to see this picture."

Does anyone know how to fix this? I tried googling it, but couldn't find any definite solutions.

Sure, I can get around this problem by copying into photoshop, then copying from photoshop to illustrator, but that's really a clunky way of going about it.

Find the image you want from the net.

right click > save image as.

In Illustrator, Go to file > place and select your image.

Then resize in Illustrator and you're done.

I'm using a Mac and inserting a jpeg or PICT image into MS Word for Mac then converting the file to a pdf. However, the jpeg or PICT image is not appearing in the pdf file. I get the message Quicktime and TIFF (Uncompressed) decompressor are needed to see this picture. How do I resolve this issue.

Thanks.
