I didn't know rather to post this here or in general chat, so sorry ahead of time if its wrong.

They are making Doom into a movie.  It will star the Rock as the Space Marine we all know and love and they say production is not set to start until later this year.  I don't know if I like the idea of the Rock being the Marine, but he certainly looks the part.  Putting all that aside however if this movie isn't done good I swear I'm gonna burn the studio down...Whose with me?

Interesting Things about the film:

It's not set on Mars (I think).

It has nothing to do with Hell.

It involves a SWAT team.

The zombies etc. have been caused by a virus.

There is a character nicknamed "Pinky" in a wheelchair. He will be turned into a mutant.

It will be shite.

WHAT!?!?!?!  They've already ruined it and it hasn't even been filmed yet!  I hate Hollywood!

Wow...They've ruined something that didn't even have much of a plot, Hollywood amazes me yet again.

And that description sounded like another Resident Evil movie...

Good news: The BFG makes an appearance.

Bad news: It's called the "Bio Force Gun"

Just for the hell of it, to at least put a high point on this thread, here's the best lines from that comic...

<staring at a manilla-colored dull door>"Huh? Whuzzat? Whuzzat? I like what I see! An important looking door..."

"You are huge! That means you have huge guts!"

"Gahh! Zombies with guns! Not big guns, but they are guns!"

<walking into a completely dark room> <Chuk-Klik! Blamm! Chuk-Klik Blamm! Klik Blamm! Chuk-Klik Blamm! Chuk-Klik!>

<pouting at an imp> "Stupid! Stupid! Stupid imp!"

"Sweet Christmas! Big-mouthed floating thingies!" (really)

"I've blown up everything in here! Blew up that spectre real good!"

"Mine eyes can but weep as they bear witness to the majesty... the BFG 9000!" (poorly drawn black-outline hearts surround his head during this frame)

Wait, they're gonna make a movie?
Didn't the game have graphics which were almost like a movie itself? I mean, my graphics card had trouble running it on low quality
