Got an email from Amazon today stating my pre-order has shipped.  Hidden within the text of this email was the arrival date: August 31?!?

What the fuck, Amazon?!?  I had 2-day shipping on that fucking order!

It's been a bad week.

So, it came Thursday, 8/27.  The email was wrong.  I haven't had a lot of time to play it though.  My only complaint so far is that it's not easy to get an enemy into position for a vertical take-down.

It really was amazing.

The only problem i see with the game is this- lip syncing sucks. Which, compared to how awesome it is, isn't a big worry anyway.

I look forward immensely to the sequel.

Just finished today.  Took my time with it.  The only thing that bugged me was the Spirit of Arkham voice actor.  His delivery was strange and the voice was annoying.  I recognize the voice actor's... voice, and I've never liked what he's done.  So, there's a little bias there.

I wonder if they'll start working on a sequel soon since the reviews have been so high.  There's plenty of ways for it to go, but what other location other than Arkham would be suitable for a game?  Gotham City itself is much too large for a game world.  They could make it similar to GTA, but I find those cities to be kind of small.  Gotham is a sprawling metropolis.

I found myself thinking that, too. How long would it take them to make a fully realised Gotham? We'd be looking at a release date after GTA V... But then, Imagine how utterly totally incredibly awesome it would be.

I read about that last week, I think.  That form of piracy protection is a lot funnier than the pain in the ass restrictions that EA and other companies put on the number of installs for a game.  You take the time to install it, get it running, and then you just keep falling to your death.

A sequel has been announced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Arkham Has Moved

I hope my over-use of exclamation points has fully encapsulated the excitement I felt when I heard the news and then watched the preview.

For those that have seen the trailer, which is linked to from the website, I've put some thoughts below.  Don't want to spoil any surprises for anyone.

It looks like Arkham is now located in the Narrows, much like Batman Begins, and Two-Face is a major player in this one.  From the Iceberg and Sionis signs, I'd wager Freeze and Black Mask are in it too.  Looks like the Titan formula has done a number on Joker, so I wonder what plans he has this time around.  Anyone pick up more details?

That looks AMAZING! I can't wait. I still need to finish Arkham Asylum. Now that I have a break from school I might just do that

Got a question for anyone who has beaten Arkham Asylum; whose hand popped up to grab the crate at the end of the credits for you?  Also, which platform did you play it on and what percentage of completion did you have at the end?

I played through the 360 version twice, once on normal and then hard, and both times I saw Bane.  I finished with 100% both times.

I'm just curious if there is a pattern to what causes the different endings.  I tried finding it online, but got bupkis.

I got scarecrow, bane and croc, one for each difficulty playthrough. I don't know if they only show up depending on the difficulty, though.

I'd heard that Ivy also popped up.  What was your completion percentage Boosh?  I wonder if time played had anything to do with it.  Kind of like the Metroid reveals.
