I finished it up yesterday, and it is great.

One thing I noticed, is Bob really wasn't in it. Briefly for one chapter. Other than that, really great book. I just wish he wrote faster or something. Takes a year to write, and a day to read.

Can you guys recommend anything similar?

That's what happens when you're popular haha. Two series, a bunch of novellas and short, and various other projects take so much time.

Well I don't know that I'd call them similar but Kat Richardson's Greywalker series is pretty good, it falls into the urban fantasy realm too. Rob Thurman is worth checking out too if you ever get a chance.

doesnt have to be urban fantasy, I am mostly interested in something with the same sense of humor, mixed in with everything else. So many books are overly serious. I grew up with comics, and became a big fan of Marvel, because their characters had personality. They still made jokes, and tried to see the lighter side of things. Dresden Files, to me, is exactly what I loved from those comics. Here is a guy, who is human, he isn't really in good situations, but he busts ass to try and help others, meanwhile he tries to not let the shit get him down.

I just finished Turn Coat a minute ago, overall it was a good read but I did miss Bob. But then the story didn't leave much room for him to appear this time around. All in all it's Harry doing what he does and that's always a good time...and hurrah for that moment on the docks. See no spoilers or anything.

I want to get a model skull, like you see in the science labs, and make my own Bob, with servos and LEDs.

That would be awesome! If you could put a little motor in there so the mouth opened and closed you'd get an award for skill. I'd like to try making a shield bracelet then ones they sell just don't look right to me. If

it would be easy to do, really. Just takes the funds to get the parts.

I was actually thinking of a few servos, to allow for him to rock on his jaw.

Yeah that money stuff gets in the way of all my cool  ideas.

Whenever I see people actually making something like Bob's skull for example it mpresses me , my technical expertise begins and ends with legos.

I bought the first three books of Codex Alera based on a recommendation from a friend.  I think I'll check out Dresden Files when I'm done.  I was going to start on Dresden Files, but someone recommended Codex Alera over it.

I finally started reading Dresden Files. Man it's amazing. Just finished... ah. Dead Beat I believe... (the one with the horror Movie killers)
Ordered the last 3 books from Amazon (gotta love living in the UK at the moment)
Haven't gotten Changes yet, going to wait for the paperback. But I am loving the series, its a completely different beast from the TV series, which I like.

I finished Changes a few nights ago and it was fantastic! Seriously I urge anyone interested in the book to go and buy it right now if you can afford to do so. It's everything you love about the Dresden Files.

I'm excited about the next two upcoming books as well.
