Well, I don't know where to start, for animation it is crucial that you know teh animation ways, first there are three types of animations that you'll always use, first and simplest: motion: this is use to change size, rotate and move an opbject, this is done by making to main frames, te second one most have a diference of the mentioned before, and the just right clic on the between frames, motion animation (i have flash in spanish so i am translating the terms). Shape animation: This is use to change color and shape of an object, same process as befoere but this time instead of rightclicking just select the between frame and down there on propierties change the anioation mode to shape. And last and better, (don't know it in english) frame by frame: this is the hardest method but most of the times it is the best method, is this case you can change anything you want, here the sad thing is that you have to make each frame, with each difference one of the other, here i can give you an ENORMOUS advice, use onion skin or papper, down of the timeline thare are some bottoms, there you can active it, onion skin is to be able to see the frames before so it is a lot easier to make changes when you can see the frames before. Well there are a lot more advices to give but by nbow those are the biggest concerning to animation, just play around with flash.
