If you haven’t heard, Spore is available for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
Every time you level up, you can modify your creature by dragging parts or pinching and stretching the body with your fingers. You control your little guy by tilting your iphone, which is pretty simple. I wouldn’t say it’s one of the best games for the iPhone, but it’s still fun. A great way to pass the time while waiting for something.
I’m still exhausted from last week, it was a really rough week for me.
The sketch for comic is done, I just need to ink and color it. I’ll try to post the ink tomorrow evening.
MobileMe users hit by phishing scam
“A scammer is targeting MobileMe users with an email purporting to be from Apple. The email claims there are problems with the user’s subscription renewal information, and directs them to a web site that asks them to reenter their credit card information.”

GUYS … guys … guys. I’ve been meaning to say something about the LHC (that’s Large Hadron Collider) because I don’t make it known very often, but I’m a huge nerd for science and this thing fascinates the hell out of me. Even the so-called controversy about it - that it’ll cause the collapse the Earth - is interesting to note, because it drives home how ambitious the experiment is.
The LHC is the world’s largest particle accelerator, and it’s been built to help scientists ascertain whether or not the current model for particle physics is correct, or how correct it is, or - who knows! This machine, when it’s activated, will help answer a lot of questions that are at the core of theoretical physics. It’s super exciting.
So anyway, I stumbled across this link this morning, and it starts out pretty terrible, but once the girl starts rapping you begin to realize that they RAPPED OUT AN EXPLANATION OF HOW THE LHC WORKS. That’s awesome. The fact that she can keep speaking so fast with complicated vocabulary is pretty cool. Also, she’s obviously an employee at the LHC Commenter SteveH points out that she’s actually a grad student who got access to the facility - you can read about it here - so don’t try to break in there and make one yourself.
