Everywhere I go on campus I see people on their laptops. Their usually hunched over, sitting on the floor, next to an outlet. In fact it is almost a strange sight to see people not charging their laptops.

I don’t normally bring my charger with me, I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I get about 3.5 hours of usage on battery.

Note: While this post isn’t very Apple related, Hawk has asked me to post it anyways.

I’ve always wanted a personal secretary. Then again who hasn’t? I am constantly forgetting things, unless I write it down. My system never worked all that well. I could never find a pen or a suitable piece of paper when I was scrambling to write a thought down.

I finally got Leopard setup on my PowerBook. So far so good. I went out on a limb and decided not to do a fresh install. I would never have done that on windows. Oddly enough everything works. Everything but UNO, but I don’t really need to use it because Leopard has a unified theme.

Most of you have probably noticed that the most recent version of OS X was released on the 26th.  I’m sure some of you have already installed it and have been playing around with it.  I’m still waiting for my copy so I can’t give my opinions yet, but I thought you guys would have some great opinions, so let us know what you think in the comments….

I run all the big three operating systems. I’ve had experience with most of the respective instant messaging clients, AIM, Trillian, Kopete, Pidgen, iChat and Adium, etc. Adium was by far the best because it offers so much customization. Unfortunately I can’t be on OS X all the time. After a few days of searching I finally found a program that is just as highly customizable with very low overhead.

I read this article this morning from Computerworld. The article points out that Vista is going to over take Tiger in web usage by August. That’s fine, however, the article fails to mention a rather important point.

The reason that this is happening is because current XP users are upgrading to Vista.
