Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope you all have a great holiday. It’s tofu turkey for me! Maybe some mashed potatoes, some pumpkin pie, some cranberry sauce … mmm. I’m getting hungry.

Listen up!

Anyone who has had a problem with the recent update schedule needs to go read Hawk’s latest blogpost. What he’s said about himself goes for me as well – I’ve got a lot of new stuff going on professionally, and can’t really talk about it. Applegeeks is NOT our full-time job, and frankly it doesn’t pay the bills. It is and always has been a hobby and side project, and this is one of those times where our spare time is less available to us. This isn’t us being angry – it’s just a friendly reminder.

For the 99% silent majority of people who understand just fine – thanks! We appreciate it. Now let’s all get back to work. ;)

AG Lite possibly delayed!

Hey guys! Just a heads up, the comics are possibly going to be a little delayed. We’ve been pretty busy behind the scenes here and Hawk has had a lot going on this past weekend.

Have a good week!

AG Lite 663 a little late (maybe!)

Hawk’s at Dragoncon – passed him the script this morning, but he may not be able to get to it till Monday. Just a heads up! :)

Otakuthon, August 13-15

Guys, we will be at Otakuthon in Montreal, Canada from August 13-15th! We’ll be doing two panels – an Applegeeks panel and a “Comics We’re Reading” panel that will be a conversation about comics American, Japanese and otherwise that we’re reading – and you’re more than welcome to chime in! Come say hey, we’re always happy to meetcha. :)

Happy Father’s Day!

Children’s Day is on November 14th in India, which is also Jawarharlal Nehru’s birthday. Nehru was the first prime minister of India, and his adoration of children was renowned. My grandmother on my mother’s side always jokes about it. “I don’t know why we have a Children’s Day … every day is children’s day.” I’d like to think that a good father helps make it so.

I know everyone makes a lot of noise about manufactured holidays like Valentine’s Day etc., but it’s good that we have a Father’s Day. Hell, we ought to make it a week. Thanks for all your hard work Dad! My life is richer for it.
