I’m back from Montreal, Canada. I’ll start off by thanking Otakuthon for having us as honor guests for the weekend. I would also like to thank the Otakuthon’s staff for their hard work and making sure our stay was enjoyable. Not only was it our first time at the convention, it was our first time in Montreal as well.
It never occurred to me the people over there spoke French (shows how much I pay attention). I was cursing myself for the majority of the time for not paying attention in my French classes back when I was in college. Yeah, I took three semesters of French and I don’t remember a darn thing. However, the majority of the people spoke English as well, so that helped a lot. That definitely saved me from grabbing my crotch and doing the pee dance just to say, “Where is the bathroom?”
The overall convention was great. I’m always excited about meeting the readers and talking to them. So for those who came by to the table and panel.. thank you! If you came by and I wasn’t there, I apologize.
I also got a bit creative with our table sheet. This is what happens when you give me sharpies and a blank canvas.
Again, I had a great time and I would love to visit again. So let them know. ;)

you guys were great! im a little surprised that the room wasn’t packed with people.i hope you guys will do it again next year.
It happens. it really depends what the panel is up against. If people can’t come to our panel, they come to the table. so it’s all good =)
Their panel(s) was/were going against the Masquerade and some other obscure but I hear fairly popular activity. :/
the masquarade was jam packed but hey it was a damn nice 2 panels (wich was more of a 2 hour lol) and it’s not the quantity that counts its the quality :P
It was awesome (: I loved talking with you two and the panel went gret, even though it was random question over random question, I really enjoyed it. I still love the sketch you did in my sketchbook and that protrait, woah. It now is my ID on DeviantArt and my profile picture on Facebook!

It was great that you guys came to Montreal … But we have other good conventions these time of the Year: There is Comic*Con Montreal in septembre (Wink* Wink*) that is growing bigger and bigger each year, I know that you guys are Huge Comics fans, so it would be cool to see you there as well !!! You would fit in perfectly !!!

Is there a video or audio-only recording of your panels? I want to see what I missed! (was media, had to cover the masquerade, couldn’t attend :( sorry!)

I’m disapointed that I couldn’t meet you alass. But I hope we will another time.
By the way, it seem that “The freshman years” have weak binding. Not complaining, just saying so you could look that up.

Seriously, crispy fresh-cut fries with cheese curds topped with gravy (preferably good chicken gravy)… nothing beats that. Now I want a poutine.

Dang hawk what kind of tools did you draw Eve and the cat? Beside sharpies did you use a gray copic markers by any chance?

It was really nice to speak with you at Otakuthon also thanks for stopping by my artists’ table. I didn’t think you would really pass and I really apreciated your nice comments on my art :) Hope I can bug you a little by mail for advice in the near future.
