might want to check out the new SDK 3.2 news, seudo multitasking is supposedly on its way. haven't looked too in to it myself, but know that its not being ignored, and for all the haters on the ipad. its a e-reader first, video player second. tihs is made to be an e-reader with the simple UI interface that even any grandmother could use.. the iphone UI.

its a proven UI, its simple and loved by many. plus, mac os x on screen keyboard is the WORST. still doesn't support holding shift.

I don't mind the lack of Flash support... heck, supposedly the new HTML language will fully support video, anyway. My only issue, and I haven't really heard officially it's an issue, is that it can't multitask. One app at a time, from what I've heard. Anyone else hear anything about that?

Before you complain about the lack of Flash support. Please understand why there is no Flash on the iPod/iPad. Flash and the Flash Player is poorly created and is most definitely a memory hog. If Apple said yes to Flash to the iPod / iPad, it will drain the battery really fast. When that happens, guess who people will blame. Apple.

There is actually an application already called Webcomic Reader, but it's fixed with certain webcomics and I don't think AppleGeeks is on it.

The iPad is really a lackluster product. Doesn't even have flash support, so you can't really appreciate the full web browsing experience. I read up some of the critic's reviews and so far, seems like it would be easier to get a netbook that does all the same and is cheaper.

I agree... it wouldn't be that difficult to do, I looked at doing something like that for my phone to show the latest comic for the couple of sites I saw... but then I noticed they were not too pleased with the other chap that modified how he saw the comic (I think it was ported to DeadTree format). And since I go to connecticon...

yes, but the point isn't to view the normal website, but make an uber rss feeder that displays the comic full screen like it should be. giving it a glorious look on the tablet.
