I will, most definitely, be playing Left 4 Dead 2 this week. I’m going to pick it up on Tuesday and it will be nonstop zombie killing time.

lol You do realise the comic is called “AppleGeeks” yeah?
Not “AppleElitists”.

Don’t get me wrong I like Macs, the are fab pieces of kit, (don’t like iPods ’cause of iTunes)

And AFAIK Apple don’t have a gaming system, & not a lot of developers cater for Apple.

So if you like Gaming what are you supposed to do exactly?

Anyways… rant over..
L4D2 is pretty funky… played the demo, might actually buy it this time round… now big Q…. Steam or XBox360?? :)

heh, you’re lame enough to put the dollar sign in there. Plus I think it’s also available for PS3.

You should go to work for Apple and get OSX to support anything above OpenGL 2.1. In the meantime: Microsoft has been pushing DirectX 10 since November, 2006, and recently released DirectX 11, bringing two new steps to the rendering pipeline. (It now has three up on the OSX pipe; OGL didn’t get geometry shaders until 3.2, released last August.) Honestly, I can’t imagine why any developer would waste their time writing 3D code for the Apple platform. You’d be better off targeting Linux; at least their drivers are up to date.

Are you 5? Grow up. We play at the Apple vs. MS thing, but no one with a life keeps to that kind of dogma.

When you do, spare a thought for us Australians (and the Germans too I believe) who will have to play censored versions and put up with a complete lack of gore and no riot cop character (violence against authority figures isn’t liked apparently, even thought it didn’t stop GTA, etc.), or fork out the cash to import a version from the US, the UK or New Zealand.

Of course, Hawk would never share his Steam info if he did have it for some variant on a desktop machine (Mac or PC)

So we all sit and wait for him to tell us about getting shotgunned to death by his team or something like that.

Hey Hawk,
Off topic, but you do your lineart for the comics directly in Photoshop right? I was wondering how you get that one smooth line. Mine tends to be either scratchy from going over and over again or bumpy from erasing or trying to make it smooth by drawing slowly as trying to do fast strokes never seem to meet up correctly. Is it just lots of line practice?

Thanks!

Wow everybody!. !! Happy Thanksgiving!. !! :)
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, and every yr I like to get into the mood-extend the holiday, when it were-by reading “Thanksgiving novels.” For example, these stories are mostly about friends and family, about coming together to heal old hurts and getting thanks for the gift of love. .. . =
You’re Far better Off Today Than You Were nine Yrs Ago?
