There are a lot of rumors going around about a portable mac tablet from Apple. Some say it will be out next year. Anyways, the latest rumor got me really excited. I’m actually in my mac-ball as I type this.
Now imagine reading your comics, even your webcomics, from anywhere. No. I’m not talking about from the bathroom. I find people taking their portable devices to the bathroom, using it while they do their business, WEIRD.
Sure you can read comics on your iphone… if you like to squint or zoom in and out a lot. But what if it was on a tablet?! Excited? Andy Ihnatko wrote an interesting article about this, check it out.

I’m more interested in the virtual console potential for media engineers. Problem is, AVID/Digidesign is too lazy to see the potential, and Apple seems to like giving the finger to media professionals these days.
Ah well, we’ll have to see how this works.
I’m pretty excited about the tablet as I need to get some sort of mac for my digital arts major. The new magic mouse is trippy, too.
The only thing about the tablet design from what I’ve seen is that if the Macbook Air = iKnife (videos and photos of it cutting bread and people) then the tablet looks like iCuttingBoard. Now you have a surface to cut your bread on with your iKnife!
You can already read comics anywhere. It’s called mobile broadband and a tablet pc
Yeah, yeah; I’ll believe it when I see it.
ok i’ve been waiting for something like this to come out since the iphone came out. depending on the price, i’ma get one. just cause it’ll be cool, and i won’t have to dig out my mbp all the time.
staying hopeful. if something like this really is going to be made and available. im so in. i hate my hp and want to replace it with a mac. just waiting for the right time, right one oh yeah and money. lol ^^
I’ll believe it when I see it, to quote Reynard. Apple has left me broken hearted too many times. Last year the tablet was suppose to come out, the year before it was suppose to come out. *sigh* I’ll believe it when I’m holding in my hands.
