Snapture’s in the top 10 paid apps, at #9! #2 in photography! Go go GOOOOO!

Snapture in WIRED!!
EDIT: WHOO! Snapture on Gizmodo!

Hey guys! Way way back I mentioned that I was working on Snapture, an iPhone camera app, and that it was only available by jailbreaking your iPhone. No more! It’s now available from the official Apple app store! The app is making it’s way up the top 10 photography app ladder – hopefully it’ll slide on up! It’s really nice to see something I spent so much time on get in there. I did brand identity, the icons and associated graphics, and I worked heavily on the first iteration of the website. Anyway, if you need a camera app for your iPhone, please consider Snapture! I’ll probably post some reviews as they come in. Here’s some screenshots of the app below:

DUDE! Very impressive. Well done! If I had an iPhone, I’d totally get it.

Hey Robert,
You can buy it through iTunes without an iPhone :)

Thanks Ananth, I asked about this being on the app store when it was first released. Now that it’s official, I’ve bought it.

i love Snapture, i’ve been using it for at least a year now. one question though, if i purchased it from the jailbreak store do i have to buy it again from the apple app store?

I’d say it’s a safe bet that Apple wouldn’t honour purchases from someone else’s store as being a done deal on theirs, especially when it involves the (for them) contentious issue of jailbreaking. I think devs have limited coupon codes they can give out, too.

Awesome! I used Snapture when I had my phone JB, but things got too sluggish so I restored it and lost Snapture.

I know it’s totally unrelated, but I’m loving the past few AG Lites.
