There’s a new Super Art Fight happening in DC tomorrow, September 12th! Actually, it’s an art jam happening live while Peelander Z plays at the Ottobar. If you’re in the area and want to see a great show definitely come on out – Peelander Z is energy incarnate, and SAF always puts on a good show.
I’ve mentioned Super Art Fight before, but I want to mention it again. Here’s the breakdown: A DJ spins or a band plays while 2 artists or tag teams of artists go head to head on a shared canvas. The winner is determined by the crowd at the show that night. There are usually 2 or 3 bouts in a night! SAF has been making the rounds at conventions and doing shows live at clubs and other venues. If you’re thinking of attending an Art Fight, do it! It’s high-energy fun. If you’re interested in getting Super Art Fight at your convention or venue, contact them! They fill rooms and work crowds like you wouldn’t believe. Just ask anyone who’s attended one.

I’ve heard of these, but haven’t seen one before. I’ve always really wanted to go to one.

Little copic tip-f you have a colorless blender, putting down a layer of it and coloring on top of it while it’s still wet gives a nice blend. Kinda like watercolors, only better. No more streaks!
Oh hello! I am sorry to link this here, I can’t remember if I replied to your comment on the TAL post but the one with the guy who overcame his fears of Muslims is called The Devil In Me (: It was on last year 09.05.2008 to be exact.
I blame my forgetfulness on Fasting!
Super Art Fight looks FUN (I did read the blog!) We need one in London fo’ sure. (:
Thanks for the SAF shout-out!
I saw super art fight at Connecticon this year. Yuko kicked butt. It was great entertainment all around. Things get crazy and kooky. They spin the “Wheel of Death” for random changes in what to draw. Plus, audience members will yell random things out to help (or hinder) the artists.
I’ve got a bunch of pictures from the event (Click my link on my name)
