After seeing so many artists at SDCC, I was really inspired to push myself. I wanted to try something new and be bold.

Reminds me of the wicked witch in Snow White. Eve as a dragon might’ve worked better. :)

It looks really good. It’s like an older, wiser Eve. She looks really good. The way you have the black border on the top and left, it makes me think she’s looking either through a broken television, or we’re looking at her from the perspective of Old Mac after she just kicked his ass.

Really nice.

I really really love this. One of my favorite arcs was when Eve went a bit loony, and a staple reason for that was the choice of art style.

But now, sweet!

Big fan of your art. This one, not so much.

Different–but I like it! This is the Eve that you don’t want to mess with. I think it’s cool that she can have a cat on her head and look terminally adorable and then…look like this. Rawr!

Truly well done, the outlining is particularly catching. It’s a great direction you’ve taken with the art and AG keeps getting better and better in both written content and artwork. I was lucky enough to talk to you at Otakon and get Volume 1 signed, I commented then about how much the artwork and style has evolved and it continues to do so. I can’t wait to see what comes next in terms of the evolution of AG as a whole!

I love her expression. It’s like she’s saying “Yeah, I just kicked your ass, what are you gonna do about it?”

This I like very much, I’m always impressed when you try new styles of art! It’s refreshing :)

I’m gonna be straight forward, I’m not sure this really worked for Eve. That said, as a concept the style is intriguing, somewhat twisted old school comics done on a computer. I would love (and I do mean Love) to see a same style drawing of Heath Ledge as the Joker.

How about submitting a comment that doesn’t eviscerate itself and it’s author by relying on poorly veiled self-entitlement-issue-laden whining in the guise of a misconstrued and overused piece of wordplay; desperately trying to be regarded as clever snark?

Oh wait… shucks. Failed.

Guess you’ll just have to save that kind of writing weaponry for your own webcomic someday, Sport.

Ok. Not counting the lite comics, which are great and 3 days a week. AG comics thus far. 2003 – 56 2004 – 103 2005 – 77 2006 – 91 2007 – 86 2008 – 75 2009 – 36 so far. That’s a pretty large body of work to go from, especially from someone who doesn’t draw comics full time. You aren’t entitled to anything and should be glad we have the chance to enjoy some of his work. Hawk could easily be a douchebag and not put up anything or share at all.

Awesome. I love that you’re still pushing your art style. It’d be easy for you to rest on your laurels, but seeing your work is a treat.

If she didn’t look so old, it would probably have liked it. However, the art style is nice, I’d like to see a younger fellow in these colours.

Any one in particular that you took inspiration from to do this one? :)
It is always so much fun and great to see when good artists start playing around and trying new things.
Thanks for sharing with us even though you already knew what was coming!

While I generally love your art, this one kind of puts me off. D: The whole cheekbones thing going on kind of scares me and makes Eve look like some wicked witch of the Mac.

Though, I’m glad you’re trying to feel out there. <3

Sooooo… You are selling prints of this when. Not a question, I need to know here. This, to me, is one of the best pages you’ve ever done. You guys bring the characters to life, making it look so easy — and then you introduce us to a new facet of her personality. To be fair, I think we’ve seen this side of her before, but this one really crystallizes it.

Usually I love your work but the new cover looks a bit awkward. I applaud you for stepping outside your usual boundaries as an artist but there is something that is just a bit off on the new cover.
