Hawk mentioned it here, but I wanted to chime in. Ms. Sun was the dear friend of my best friend since elementary school. I’d never even seen her work until I loaded up the AG site this morning, but I clicked through and was swept away. The work is clearly technically proficient, but there’s a vision there that you rarely see. It’d mean a lot to all of us over here at Applegeeks if you took a moment to just browse around her website, particularly the gallery. There’s really no purer form of appreciation for an artist than enjoying their work.
Be safe!

This is amazing and terrible at the same time. To have the creator of so much beauty taken away…
Her art is amazing, I specifically enjoyed her painting of the Pirate ad the Ninja. If you havent seen recommend doing so along with all of her other works. Terrible blow to art to lose one of such remarkable talent.
Was looking through her gallery this morning. Wow, there are some amazing things there..May she rest in peace
That’s some incredible art there – thanks for the link, and am sorry that we have lost such an amazing artist.
Astoundingly beautiful.
Her work was done so wonderfully. There was a profound sense of feeling behind each of her pieces that drew you in deeper. It’s rare to find an artist that makes it hard to look away from what they’ve created. She was truly an inspiring talent.
I’m just sorry to have found her so late, may God keep her.
Thank you for sharing her work with us Hawk, Ananth.
its sad…how one accident can take something so good away… she helped so many too…
Innana ilayh wa ilayhi raji3on. (We are of God and to him we return). May she rest in peace. I lost a friend to a stupid car accident as well, it’s very difficult to let go when someone is snatched away from your life like that.
I REALLY like the one with the japanese umbrella. Any chance you guys can bring some of her prints to connecticon?
I’m sort of at a loss what else to say… I didn’t know her, and it’s very common to find good art by a dead artist (just go to a museaum). But still, I feel sad.
Hi Jason – Charlene’s work is available to order through deviantart directly.

wow, thats amazing work. i cant beleive such tallent was taken away, how dreadful
I guess some things just deserve to stay in life..
..and some people.
I looked through her gallery and I gotta say I haven’t seen anything that good in a while (I work in an art department at a university). I have to agree with Beverly that each piece had a lot feeling behind it. The thing that hit me the most was how haunting most of them were but then some of them just seemed so…fun!
It really is a loss to the world, and her friends and family will be in my prayers.
This blew me away. I’ve spent a lot of time actively appreciating art and artists, and amazing art cannot come from anything but an equally amazing person.
In this era of 24 hour news and constantly occurring tragedies, to describe the worlds loss as “Tragic” can only hint at the real pain so clearly involved. I have to show more people her art now, it’s required of me.
