Thanks for sharing. Some of the best realized visions I’ve ever seen.

Thats some great art, but there are some questions running through my head so I can’t enjoy it the right way. How old was she? Why is she dead? With the look at her art I would say it is a tragically loss to all of us who enjoy really good arts.

2006 M.F.A. Production Alumna, Charlene Sun, 34, who approached cinematography from the unique perspective of an artist painting images with a camera lens, died in tragic automobile accident in Los Angeles on January 27.

Such a shame…
Such a beautiful soul having to leave us so early — so suddenly.

It’s like what I said when Bernie Mac passed on: The world got a lot less colorful…. Rest well Charlene…

It was once said that if one person remembers the life of another person then they live on for another lifetime. If a thousand people remember the life of one person then they live on for a thousand life times.

Let it be through us that those who pass on will live on for many life times to come.

-Gabriel Zaras

Granted that is no real comfort for those who lost her, but it’s the best we can do.

Wow … I’d never heard of her before, but now seeing her art … It makes me sad. All the things that people make out to be so important, but here, someone creative and unique is lost and all I can wonder is what she had left to give.

Sigh, another great lost to us before her time.

Wow, I didn’t hear until now, but that is truly a shame. She had some realy amazing art and I remember she helped me out once with an art report which I was grateful for. I hope her legacy continues to live on in the minds of her viewers.

I… don’t know what to say. I am childhood friends with her younger brother. I didn’t really know her all that well, but… I certainly didn’t know this. I need to do some searching for her brother’s phone number. I haven’t talked to him in a few years.

When someone you know dies, you discover the other circles that person moved in and are surprised; I didn’t even know she was an artist, and only knew her tangentially via a literary discussion forum she founded. The works on her site are breathtaking, which coupled with the news of her loss is like a double-loss of my breath, and double the loss to be mourned. Especially for having just been found. But at least one of her creations — the forum — will be maintained; hopefully, the art will somehow be as well.
