Well I did it. I didn’t think it was possible, but I did it. In one whole day, from 8am to 8:30pm, I have managed to color 8 full pages. This includes taking a 30 minute nap, taking a shower, eating lunch and dinner.

Now I’m sick of looking at photoshop and my wrist hurts really badly.

I can finally focus on the comics for our site. I’ll be back on our regular schedule this week.

Hey guys! Once again, it’s been a mega busy week for us. And, once again, Yuko was gracious enough to provide us with filler. Actually, there’s a little story behind this … Yuko asked me, “Say, so what do you think would make a good filler?” And I thought for a second and then said, “The girls in a band.” I didn’t really think too hard about it. She had me look up reference for clothes and instruments and I figured hey, this’ll look cute. No way – she totally blew my mind when she sent me this. I’m sure you can agree, it turned out fantastic!! Yuko gave me the go ahead to add some flyer text to make it more “authentic”, and I gotta say that I am loving the result.

Actually, that brings me to the topic of what exactly it has Hawk and I a bit behind schedule. Dark Horse asked us to do their Myspace Dark Horse Presents, which is basically where they have comics creators do minicomics that get posted on this sweet little page they’ve set up. If you scroll down, you’ll see a nice surprise under the NEXT ISSUE section. That’s what we’re working our butts off to bring you! Never let it be said that we weren’t working on something for you guys. ;) And thank you for being so patient with us! Enjoy the guest art as we work behind the scenes here.

Hey guys! I got back from Nekocon late last night … the train ended up running late, so I didn’t actually make it back home until 11 or so. I grabbed some dinner and curled up on the couch to watch an episode of West Wing: Season 2 … a nice wrap to the trip.

Nekocon was great! Thank you to everyone that stopped by, it’s always a pleasure to chat with you guys! And thank you to the Nekocon staff, who made everything run super super smoothly … it was a picture of friendly efficiency and attentiveness, and that was really great. If you’ll have us back, we hope to be back next year! And next year, Hawk will come along too. :D

I also got the chance to catch up with Dave Lister, which was cool – it’s been a long while since I got to do that! My table was also next to Steve Napierski of Dueling Analogs fame, and his company was a pleasure for the entirety of the weekend – very cool, down to earth guy. I started flipping through his archive this morning and I LOL’d at this one. Check him out!

I’m back from my trip… and I got a lot of catching up to do.
